Alberto Montes’s artistic practice focuses on landscape painting as an intersection between memory, perception, and pictorial exploration. Through the fragmentation, decontextualisation, or manipulation of landscape elements, he explores how the pictorial image is constructed and transformed, proposing new ways of seeing and rethinking our relationship with the environment. His research seeks to create a contemplative pause amid today’s visual saturation, inviting the viewer to a more introspective and slowed-down encounter with the image. In this context, painting is not merely a means of representation but an expanded field where perception is questioned.
Alberto Montes, born in 1995 in Los Corrales, Spain, lives and works in Seville, Spain.

Njegovo delo skuša ustvariti kontemplativni odmor sredi dandanašnje vizualne nasičenosti in povabiti gledalstvo k bolj introspektivnemu in upočasnjenemu srečanju s podobo.
