A row of prints on thermal paper descends to the floor, supported by an aluminium order bar. Each work in the series shows a sequence of images produced by the artist using artificial intelligence algorithms to recompose all the scenes belonging to a dream she has had or was told to her by others. The heat-printing refers to the evanescence of memory, whose memories, over time, slowly tend to dissolve. After experiencing the dream, Gurgone transcribes every detail she can recall to begin an obsessive iconographic investigation.
Camilla Gurgone was born in 1997 in Lucca, Italy. She lives and works in Milan. She graduated in sculpture from the Rome University of Fine Arts and in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies from Nuova Accademia Di Belle Arti. She is on the team to manage spazioSERRA and has been represented by Viasaterna Gallery since 2024. Investigating the direct relationship between artist, work and viewer, she is mainly concerned with relational performance, installations, site-specific projects and new technologies for human-machine interaction.

Niz odtisov na termalnem papirju se spušča do tal, podpira ga aluminijasti drog. Vsako delo v seriji prikazuje zaporedje podob, ki jih je umetnica ustvarila z uporabo algoritmov umetne inteligence za ponovno sestavitev prizorov, ki pripadajo sanjam, ki jih je imela sama ali pa so ji jih povedali drugi. Toplotno tiskanje se nanaša na izginjanje spomina, katerega podobe se sčasoma raztapljajo. Gurgone po izkušanju sanj zapiše vsako podrobnost, ki se je lahko spomni, nato pa začne z obsesivnim ikonografskim raziskovanjem.
Camilla Gurgone se je rodila leta 1997 v Lucci v Italiji. Živi in dela v Milanu. Diplomirala je iz kiparstva na Rimski univerzi za likovno umetnost ter iz vizualnih umetnosti in kuratorskih študij na Novi akademiji lepih umetnosti. Deluje v ekipi, ki vodi spazioSERRA.
