Land Bodies, Decomposing Mass focuses on peatlands and their interpretation through various recording and 3D computing technologies. Through photogrammetry, a technology related to satellite mapping and archiving of anthropocentric spaces and monuments, the biotope is interpreted bit by bit in an intimate, close-up interaction. The work explores specific peatlands in Finland, Norway and Canada from various perspectives, decentralising the human experience and focusing on the idea of natural landscapes as sources as opposed to resources, and their capability or not to be translated into binary code.
Ingrid Bjørnåli, born in 1991 in Kristiansand, Norway, is a multidisciplinary artist who works in Oslo, Norway. She records specific biotopes in their ongoing world-building processes. To learn from our surrounding nature and co-existing species, she does intimate close-up readings through photogrammetry that relates to satellite mapping and mediation of anthropocentric spaces and monuments. Her works explore the omnipresence of the digital in our experience of the world and the inability of technology to articulate matter’s complexity. She obtained an MFA in 2021 from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.

Video Kopenska telesa, razpadajoča masa se osredotoča na šotišča in njihovo branje preko različnih snemalnih in 3D-računalniških tehnologij. Biotope se bere s fotogrametrijo, tehnologijo, povezano s satelitskim kartiranjem in arhiviranjem antropocentričnih prostorov ter monumentov, korak za korakom, s posnetki od blizu. Delo raziskuje šotišča na Finskem, Norveškem in v Kanadi z različnih vidikov; decentralizira človekovo delovanje, osredotoča se na idejo o naravnih krajinah kot viru, ne pa dobrini, ter na (ne)možnost njihovega prevajanja v binarno kodo.
Ingrid Bjørnåli, rojena leta 1991 v Kristiansandu na Norveškem, je multidisciplinarna umetnica, ki dela v Oslu na Norveškem. Beleži specifične biotope v njihovih nenehnih procesih oblikovanja sveta. Da bi se poučila iz narave, ki nas obdaja, in soobstoječih vrst, opravlja intimna branja s fotogrametrijo, ki je povezana s satelitskim kartiranjem in posredovanjem antropocentričnih prostorov ter monumentov. Njena dela raziskujejo vseprisotnost digitalnega v našem doživljanju sveta in nezmožnost tehnologije, da artikulira kompleksnost materije. Leta 2021 je magistrirala na Nacionalni akademiji za umetnost v Oslu.
