The artist mainly works with sculpture, performance and text. His work is site-responsive, time-based, visual and conceptual. The material and/or objects carry history, narration and politics. He breaks down the material into components and looks at them from a new perspective. In Encounter, he is attempting to heal a site, writing the exact text he wrote at a bridge in Stockholm, Sweden (Västerbron, a bridge commonly associated with suicide). For this occasion, he will write the text with locally collected sand from both sides of the border; for him, the sand represents the eternal cycle of life and death.

Rasmus Arvidsson, born in 1996 in Stockholm, Sweden, lives and works in Bergen, Norway, where he’s finalising his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Arvidsson debuted at Høstutstillingen (Oslo) in 2023; he has exhibited at Galleri BLUNK (Trondheim), Galleri Taxi (Bergen) and Udstillingsstedet Q (Copenhagen). He was also part of the “7-9-13” performance group exhibition curated by Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen and Molly Haslund (Copenhagen).
